Frequently asked questions
Burnout Center offers a scientifically validated burnout check that you can complete to gain insight into your mental and physical balance. This check is part of the first step in their approach: "Analyze." It is also possible to perform a short self check on our website.
In this phase, your physical and mental balance is assessed using validated online questionnaires, lab tests, and multi-day continuous monitoring of stress, recovery, and heart rate variability (HRV). This provides a detailed picture of your current condition. A one-on-one intake interview with a licensed psychologist (GZ Psychologist) is also included in the Analyze phase.
How does the continuous monitoring work?
Through a smart device that you wear, you can track your stress, recovery and exercise and then this device sends this data to the accompanying app. The app provides an overall and individual score for each of those areas and displays the data on a graph.
What do the lab tests involve? Neurobiology provides insight into why we feel, think, and act the way we do. That’s why lab tests are conducted. They measure cortisol, serotonin, adrenaline, noradrenaline, and dopamine. The balance in your neurobiology determines whether symptoms subside and whether you're actually able to change. These reactions can be naturally balanced using biological precursors (nutritional supplements) from plant-based substances—without risk or side effects.
After the analysis comes the “Unlock” phase. In this phase, we coach you online to improve HRV (using a wearable we provide), because HRV (Heart Rate Variability) is a crucial indicator of overall fitness and stress resilience. Many components from the Analyze phase are revisited regularly to monitor progress. Based on data and coaching, you work purposefully on recovery. If needed, natural supplements can be used to support your neurobiological balance.
In the “Reflame” phase, you work on developing healthy and sustainable habits that strengthen your personal effectiveness and responsibility. The goal is to reignite your inner fire and reconnect with yourself.
